Contracted with a Customer in the Communications / Military Industry, Turner Bellows assembles a Vehicular Shock Absorber. This assembly consists of 81 separate pieces. Parts are procured and inventoried by a Qualified Supply Base, and consist of sheet metal products made from .090 thick Aluminum Alloy sheet per U.N.S. A95052 and receive a pretreatment process and paint process to the following specifications: E512 per Mil-F-14072, Mil-DTL-14072, Mil-DTL-53039, Mil-DTL-64159, FED-STD-595.
Machined components made from Aluminum Alloy Plate per U.N.S. A96061 with tolerances as tight as .003”. .190 Thick Cold Rolled Steel per QQ-S-766 Class 302, Cond A (AISI 302). Turned Products made from .56 Stainless Steel Hex Type 300 series per QQ-S-766 and Passivated to MIL-F-14072. Hardware to Military Specifications. This product is assembled to standard workmanship requirements, packaged, and warehoused ready for shipment to Customer within 8 weeks, with an annual usage of 700 pcs.
